Imagine the whole of Singapore losing power for a week. I strongly suspect that the hours of the night would bring looting, rioting and waves of other crime. I suspect also, that the situation would be significantly worse if it happened in most other nations. It is ridiculous that street lamps are all that stand between civility and chaos.
